“ADEO – Green Space” – A New Satellite to clean up Space from Junk

The European Space Agency (ESA) is part of an international effort to monitor and – ultimately – tackle space debris. This junk – accumulated in orbit since the dawn of the space age sixty years ago – poses an increasing risk to operational spacecraft. Possible dangers caused by fragments of redundant spacecraft falling to Earth should be prevented. Generations to come want a “Green & Clean Space”! This short film clip is about Munich-based company HPS which has collaborated with ESA on previous projects. The film shows a new satellite technology, called ADEO, to bring all kinds of spacecraft back from LEO (max. 900 km orbit) by sailing on Angel Wings.
Check it out. It’s an impressive and very successful project to clean up space from debris!
